There are definitely too few "fritter", "FOOLmore", and "KrispyKreme" references in this thread. What's wrong with you guys?
And where are the YouTube URL's?
Come on, fools, you're not staying the course.

Only Little knows what's going on inside his own head. Repentance is not an act, it is a life change, and it doesn't necessarily occur at once, thereby magically solving the entire dilemma. It's one day at a time, folks.
This situation may be unique in it's particulars, but we all face the same general predicament : do we change our lives or do we continue on the present course?
Little's ordeal began in '98 when he took the drinks, took the wheel, and took a life. It continued in '04 when he again drove while impaired. But in the 4 years since then it seems that he has had the sense to not drive while under the influence. Hopefully, Leonard Little has changed his life. And by sharing his experience with others, maybe he can change other's lives, too.
To me, the last ten paragraphs offer a glimmer of hope from our ex-Vol. They show that Little is mindful of the errors of his past, and that he is using his experiences to shape his future, and perhaps the future of others. I hope that he can continue on his path to redemption.

badawg ...
...why would you get on this thread and spew that silliness when your team has been rocked by the Vols the past two years and still has a losing record to Tennessee at Neyland and at home?
Are you a typical Georgia idiot? Or just the average, run-of-the-mill idiot?

This article's purpose seems to be the same as the purpose of many KNS articles, that being to make subpar writers appear more able than they are.
Adams, Strange and Griffith are very good at what they do, although many readers do not agree with the content of their pieces. The rest of the writing staff, especially the guy who also hosts the unwatchable Sunday morning Hall's Salvage train wreck, are trying to convince readers that they are "sports guys". Their articles and opinion pieces reveal their lack of talent.

You would think with the great Vanderbilt education and all that the 'dores wouldn't have been routed by a 13 seed.

This Adams thing is being carried a bit too far. He is a writer. I don't think we, as fellow human beings, should be equating him with Satan. If you don't like him, then that's fine. But let's get real.

Look at what I wrote. If you read carefully, it is based not on 1998, but on Fulmer's career. And on the season of 2007.
If you want REALITY, then the REALITY is that, even counting Fulmer's last 4 years (just the way you guys like to pick out certain years), which include his one losing season, his team averages 4th. His pay is seventh.
You can't get around it. He is paid at a lower level than his team has performed.

Over 15 years, UT's head football coach has had his team at an average SEC ranking of 3rd. That is according to conference rank and final standings in the AP polls compared to other SEC teams.
Last year, UT's coach had his team in the SEC championship game, and his team was the 3rd highest ranked SEC team in the final AP poll.
Foolmore posted the order of pay and it shows that UT's coach is 7th in terms of pay.
I guess when you look at the numbers, and leave your emotions out of it, UT's head coach is a bargain considering what he is being paid. Looks as if he deserves a raise.

In response to utalumntx:
One of Majors' 3 SEC first-place years was a three-way tie ('89), during his tenure there was no conference championship game, his teams played 7 SEC opponents per year, and he faced an average of just over 3 ranked opponents per year.
Fulmer has faced an average of almost 5 ranked teams per year, has played a minimum of 8 SEC opponents per year, and has played 9 in the championship game seasons.
Versus ranked opponents, Majors was 22-32-6 (37%), Fulmer is 39-33-1 (53%). 39% of Fulmer's games have been against ranked opponents, 32% of Majors' games were against such opponents.
They both are fine coaches. Their records stand as a testament to their contributions to our university.
It is a big job to rebuild a program from one that was mediocre. Is it less difficult, or more difficult, to take a winning program and make it better?
Fulmer's last 7 years (his worst as regarded by many of you) show an average of 9 wins and 4 losses. Majors' last 7 years (his best as regarded by many of you) showed an average of 8 wins and 3 losses.
As an aside, Majors' last 4 bowl games were actually one Fiesta (a loss to PSU), one Sugar (a 1-point win vs. unranked Virginia ... a win nonetheless), one Cotton (vs. underdog Arkansas), and a Peach (vs. unranked Indiana).
Majors coached his last UT team to a 5-3 record, then was canned (too soon) before the Hall of Fame Bowl.
Opinions vary. Records are concrete.
