i thought florida looked scary good on saturday.
hawaii is not SEC caliber, but they also are no arkansas state ............ and fla exploded for 56 points in less than 2 quarters. just crazy looking athletes running all over the place - starters and reserves alike.
tennessee better handle ucla easily if we hope to compete for anything in the SEC this season.

regarding the Tennessee uniform - some of the posters here must be young Gen X's.
i do not want some crazyy looking uni's for our Vols - no wacked out thick half-stripes that run down the side like a snake.
we already have some of the sharpest uni's going. maybe dress up the arm stripes, but that's it. i don't want to look like the John Tarleton pee-wees out there. And thank goodness the double pant stripes are back - very sharp and traditional. whoever commented that they looked like 1950 is out to lunch.

please explain to me what has happened to Tennessee run blocking ??
it seems that we still have talented linemen. but they cannot run block anymore.......... not since 2001, though '04 may have been an exception. we were so dominant in that area in the 90's and don't tell me how the talent has fallen off - we still send O-linemen to the NFL with regularity.

sounds like a solid player - glad to have him.
it is time to wait out some bigger prizes though - didn't we used to haul in the 4*'s routinely ????
do we even have one 4* signed yet - and how about some 5* kids. no reason the university of tennessee should have a class full of 2 & 3 *** only.
what has changed. i cannot think of a school that can match tennessee's combo of facilities, tradition and crazed fan following ........... and fulmer has always been a recruiter. why are we not in the top 10 classes every year ?? just doesn't make sense.

i was a 14 yr. old kid at that 1972 game. talk about a magical night !!
i still think about what could have been in the 1970's for tennessee football if doug dickey had stayed. the top 10 program he had going would have spent the decade in a holy war against bear bryant and alabama. that great rivalry would have become even more important than it already is and would have shared the national spotlight during those years along with okl-neb, osu-mich & usc-ucla. oh what might have been.

yeah - knoxville has become a basketball town - sure, whatever you say ............ only 230+ comments about a player getting his eligibility ok'd. no excitement about football at all.

what is this kid's infatuation with florida ?
sounds like he was an afterthought for them and they treated him as such ...."we would have offered sooner if we had seen that tape." i would have been insulted by that.
meanwhile, home state tennessee has been interested all along and he doesn't even know if he can fit a visit in ?? now, i am insulted !!!

what a nice story - two monster thugs from the football team harrassing a helpless, pregnant student returning to her dorm.
i have to think up new reasons every season these days to keep following what used to be the greatest sport in America.

the Vols have some payback games this season. i'd like to see us put Bama back to the place they belong on our schedule - meaning a W for the Vols.
Coach Clawson may be the exact thing this program needs. i applaud Coach Fulmer for bringing in new blood. the transfusion was badly needed.

Volfan 1 >>> an analogy and a comparison are not the same thing.
On UCLA's season could start on a rocky note
