I was quoting an article in the Hartford Curant, those were NOT my words. Those were the REPORTERS words. The point I was making is the point you alluded to...that is....northerners are always looking down their noses to southerners....been going on forever! However, it is not hard to see that Pat has gotten Geno the jerk's number. You could tell by his manner in the video. He was steaming. Kept saying Pat knows, apparently Pat saying Geno knows stepped on his toes. Now ande 2026, I am a Tennessee born, Tennessee bred, and when I die, I'll be Tennessee dead. Also, note, by my name and by my age, I did use a corncob in an outhouse when I was knee high to a frog. In fact, one Sunday our restroom caught on fire at church and almost spread to the main building...lol....I am not ashamed of my rural raising caused you ain't lived til you have been to a HOG killing and a PIG picking'!!!!!

On UT kept track of UConn's recruiting since 2005

Folks, it's all a show to sell papers. Here's a local sportswriter for UCONN soaking up Geno's every word and having a good laugh at UT's expense. This article appeared in the Hartford Courant. You better believe Pat has gotten his goat for sure....lol......

Totally enjoyed Geno's Emmy-winning performance on Tuesday, the day of his season-ending press conference. I understand some folks in Tennessee are upset with him. Poor babies. Here's the thing with Geno and the Lady Vols fans: They don't understand him and never will. They believe he is evil. They believe he will do anything he can to win, break whatever rule it takes. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Oh, he's been known to break things, but this is a family blog and I dare not be more specific. Let's put it this way: Geno knows that what he and how it says it makes people in Tennessee nuts. And that's why he enjoys it so much. If you can't play them, have a few laughs at their expense.

And by the way, you can call Geno all the names you want. He's heard them all before. He's from Philadelphia, remember, where they booed Santa Claus on Christmas. Sticks and stones may break his bones, but a Volunteer will never hurt him.

Please hold off your fulmer diatribe until after at least the Florida game.....this should be a very good team, a new year, a new offense....ie..a new beginning. Please give the HEAD coach at UT the respect his position deserves. This is NOT the time to be critical unless of course you roll around the bowl and roll down the hole, roll tide roll. GO VOLS

On Adams: Vols' stock rises with Pearl's record, recruits

Posted on April 17 at 11:04 p.m.

As a former college offensive lineman on Div. III level, this is not that hard to do. Our offensive line did it all the time and it worked well for us. Best I remember, it kept us out of ruts as well. Blowin' off the ball is blowin' off the ball, regardless of which side of the line you're on......plus, what offensive lineman doesn't like to be "strong" or "quick"? ....lol...

mikecheck1 enjoy your record, 'cause once again ya'll will finish second. This time to Kansas. Remember, the corncob told you this on Sat. nite...lol....

Agree 100 percent with alfrizzle097. Tyler has a tough decision. Let's not be selfish, let's support Tyler no matter what he decides is best for him and his family.

On Interior depth, 3-point changes will alter Vols in 2008-09

Tyler needs the money. Sad but true. He is projected in first round in at least one mock draft. I would love for him to stay, but it weighs heavy on him to help his family.

On Strange: Vols rule in '08, but what's next for SEC

Posted on March 28 at 3:01 p.m.

I give thanks for Bruce Pearl and the excitement he has brought to Tennessee basketball. I give thanks for Chris Lofton, Jajuan Smith, and Jordan Howell. I give thanks for an SEC regular season title, first since 1967. I give thanks to the best record in Tennessee men's BB history (31-4), I give thanks to the second consecutive Sweet Sixteen appearance, just three short years ago we were 14-17 with loads of potential. I give thanks that Bruce Pearl gives us HOPE for an even brighter future in men's BB at UT. GO VOLS, it's great to be a Tennessee Vol.

College football has NEVER been as popular as it is now. So, who wants to "kill" the golden goose? I remember the pre-BCS days when number one was in the Sugar Bowl and number two was in the Rose Bowl. At least now, we have the top two in the Championship game. We, also, have 64 teams in a bowl game as a reward for a winning season. Having the bowl games gives 64 teams an extra "spring" practice. This is good for teams due to the limited time the NCAA allows football players to practice. At the end of the bowl season, we have a national champion and 32 bowl winners (which helps 32 coaches end the season on a winning note). But most of all, the regular season means something in college football. Even a loss didn't exclude teams from being in the mix this year. College football was exciting, very exciting EVERY weekend. Just look at the pro's. Patriots went undefeated in the regular season and finished 17-1...lol....Meant absolutely NOTHING. The 10-6 Giants go on a short winning streak and are world champions. The regular season doesn't mean squat in the pro's. You only had to play well enought to get in the play-offs..whoppee..Keep college football the way it is, cause right now, it is the MOST exciting sport going. PERIOD. I think one day, jclowers will be right. They will seed four teams and do a plus one national championship game. That way, the regular season will still mean something. That's my two cents worth as a former college football player who wouldn't want to play 16 games unless they paid me...lol.....
