Written on Mike Strange: Justin Worley awaits coaching decision and Tyler Bray's decision :

Bray needed someone to get his attention. Nobody has made him man up. (IMO)

Written on Jim Chaney: Vols still a little lethargic in practice :

To us fans all of this is something that we find interesting. It is something we see from the outside. It is something that if we choose, we can ignore it for a day or two and then come back and check on it. For the players, however, it is a major part of their life right now. They cannot escape. May God bless them. Every fan should be supportive of the players. We don't know what they have known. They are probably stressed to the max. Go Vols!

Written on Jim Chaney won't criticize Derek Dooley's decision :

Sounds like he just said it was Dooley's fault. He does what Dooley says. Isn't that what he said?

Written on Vols' Thomas' 'flow' pointing to NFL:

This is a good article. The Times Free Press consistently produces good articles. They are much better than the KNS.

Written on Tennessee coach Derek Dooley stepping into bigger role in struggling defense :

It is not the losses to these ranked teams, it is the way we lost. Also the loss to Kentucky. We just gave up 721 to... Troy. If he wants the offense on the field longer, run more and take maximum time before the snap. He is the coach. He can control that.

Written on UT's 'embarrassing' defense goes from bad to record worst :

Vanderbilt will have a better defense than Troy.

Written on O-for-October: Clowney sacks Vols' chances:

we stink at recruiting...

If UT waits to see if Dooley can get any recruits this year, it may be too late. There is no excitement about UT.

Written on John Adams: Not enough resilience to mask the mistakes :

Actually, the defense seemed to be in position most of the time. the size/speed difference is most of the problem for the defense now. must recruit...

Written on Buying out Derek Dooley and staff could cost as much as $9.3 million over four years :

Sooner or later, the lack of top recruits will be Dooley's end. It is an embarrassment as to how few of the top recruits UT has for next year.(none by some recruiting services) Many of the top recruits have little or no interest in UT. Fulmer won and lost by recruits. Two bad years of recruiting were Fulmer's undoing. Try watching a replay of a 90's UT team. UT looked like the Alabama's and LSU's of today. Every player was big, fast, and athletic. The defense swarmed to the ball. Yes, players have to be coached up. However, the recruiting UT is doing now is about the Mississippi State level. And that is about where we are playing.
