If the kid can't cut it, then you have to cut him loose. If he made it this far, he shouldn't need to be spoon-fed (academics). Free up a scholarship for someone else.

I'm guessing about 92% of that"

Hey Murray, you think 4.6 million Bama fans are reading this site? Didn't think so.

Relegate stories like this to the society or garden club page, not the UT sports site. Heck, write a nice article about Fulner's family, but at least keep it relative to the Vols.

Is it just me or did this kid grow 1" in height and 15 lbs. in weight from the original announcement (5'11" and 235 lbs)? I'm going to keep checking this posting. This guy might be a defensive tackle by bedtime tonight.

99gator thought it was not a good sign that you put a defensive player in the offense because it might indicate weakness on that side of the ball. He also said "whatever it takes to win". I guess that could be like making a running back out of a quarterback and not really utilizing a running back at all. Berry may never see a snap at QB, but he did play offense (and very well) in HS. The fact that Clawson is getting permission to try this experiment is a great sign. First, it seems like maybe the coaches are working together to put the best players at their best positions in order to make plays. Secondly, the fact that UT is "experimenting" with new ideas is refreshing. Allow the best players to openly compete and win jobs. In the end, whatever it takes to win (within the rules that is).

Anyone in Knoxville witness this action? Would love to hear what observations others might have. Hope that the injury bug goes away. How does Coleman look at QB?

This is a topic more suited to ESPN. Give me more news about Tennessee kids that are hot prospects and what UT is doing to attract them to Knoxville.
