The funny thing about this is that from a purely technical standpoint, Fulmer's letter was much better written than Adam's column.

Guys-
Either talk about the incident or don't talk about it. But DO NOT throw out some general reference and then give no details. You can't say "I am not going to talk about it" You already have talked about. You are like the guy who sucker punches some one and then says 'hey, lets not fight".
Also, don't say that it is not going to affect your reporting. You started the show the show by saying that you were not excited about the game, because of the alleged incident. #1 vs. #2, in state rivals and you're not excited...I think that it has affected you...

Top 5 things wrong with Adams column
1) "Fulmers reaction was soft"...actually 5 games and loss of scholarship is not soft. It could have been worse, but it was not soft.
2) Colquitt wasn't kicked off the team because he is a starter....he will miss the UCLA, Florida, and Auburn games - 3 huge games. By the time he is reinstated, the tone for the season will be set.
3) "UT has replaced Miami as the posterboy for bad behavior in college football". The situation at UT is not good, but the issues at UT have not garnered near the national media attention that Miami has. The average fan probably doesn't think of UT has a program gone wild.
4) Using Fulmercup.com as a source? Not exactly Woodward and Berstein's deepthroat
5) Adams said "Fulmer is not responsible for the crimes committed by former players" That was after 5 paragraphs of detailing crimes by former players. What was the point? He seemed to be saying "This really isn't Fulmer's fault, but it makes him look bad, so I'll say it anyway"
I am not saying that Fulmer should remain the coach, but if your are the sports editor calling for the firing of someone of Fulmer's status, you must bring your "A game". Adams reasoning and writing was not great. The equivalent of 7-4 season!

The coaching staff lazy? You may not like them or think that are are any good, but I bet they put in twice as many hours in a week as most people.
