My pick is #2. Without that little stroke of luck, the rest of the games are meaningless.

volinfla,
crompton started 2 games last year when ainge was injured and looked pretty decent, though we lost both. i was at the lala game and he played almost the entire 4th qtr and threw a nice 40+ yard td. i think he will be solid. he redshirted his first year so he's been around 3 years and should have a solid grasp of the offense. it may take a couple of games to get in sync but he also provides that added running threat that we haven't had since tmartin. i've also heard some good things about nick stevens. we may miss ainge's leadership at first but i feel confident jc will be ready.

volinfla,
you're correct, no top 10 team lost that bad to anyone but there is a top 10 team that lost to stanford and i count that as a worse loss then getting blown out by a quality team. the point i'm trying to make is in this year, anything can happen. also consider that tennessee is not even close to being the same team that lost to fl. not saying they would win if they played again but the gap has definitely closed. GO VOLS!!

Look on the bright side, McFadden can't set the SEC single game rushing record two weeks in a row. Can he?? Don't answer that.

The best stat in this game is 18 of 22 free throws. That's a stat that doesn't matter who the competition is. Also, this was a ranked division 2 team that only lost to Mayland and Arkansa by single digits last year. Their coach said he had never lost by 60 point and didn't know how to react. Lofton's going to get plenty of points this year. He might score as many as he did last year, but that may not even be enough to lead this team in scoring. We're Loaded, it's going to be a fun season.

The way I read this, he didn't fail a drug test. Weed was found in his dorm. The statement by Pearl that "he needs to be careful who he surrounds himself with" kind of suggests it wasn't his weed. But since it was his dorm, he is responsible for what he lets people bring in it. Hopefully he'll show better judgement in the future.

We've shown no consistency but neither have any of the other teams in the East. Put all 6 names in a hat and pull one out, you've got just as good a chance of picking the winner that way. Tennessee has as good a chance to be there as the other teams, actually a little better since they are the only team guaranteed to get to Atlanta if they win out. I doubt they will win out but the crazy thing is they can lose again and still get there with a FL loss to SC and GA loss to AU. What a wild season. GO VOLS!!

I've read several players make the statement "it's just a game". It is "just a game" when you're in high school and before, when you get to the next level, and big money becomes involved, it's no longer "just a game". When your coach's job is on the line, it's no longer "just a game". When the local economy is affected, it's no longer "just a game". Lots of businesses in this area have their bottom lines affected by the Vols having a bad year. When they lose restaurants do less business, stores sell less UT merchandise, etc. It's easy to convince yourself it's just a game because that's what you're told when you're ten, when you grow up, it's for real. When you realize it's for real you show a since of urgency in every game and you don't just give up.

GO VOLS! Lets become the worst team ever to win the SEC Championship. I don't mind that title one bit, as long as "Champions" is after it.
