Seth Davis picked us to go to the final four. we have been stout on the road. UT fans have to be the most sensitive in the country. look at it this way, you have to win 4 to get to the final four and as a 2 in NC region we do not have the huge bullseye on our back that we would have as a No. 1. Memphis won't make it to San Antonio but if we play with tenacity we have an excellent chance. at this point the high point in tennesse history would be to get to the elite eight and play the heels in charlotte. it could not be a tougher place than fedex forum versus number one memphis.

Mike: All 12 SEC teams have made at least the Sweet Sixteen in the last 10 years and 6 have made the final four in the last 20 years with 3 winning titles in the last 10. NO team from Conf USA other than the tigers have made the Sweet Sixteen in the last 10 years other than Tulsa and they were not even in the league then. Of course back in the day Houston and UTEP made some national noise but then they were not in the league then either. your out of conference schedule is impressive but most of your games were at home or neutral sites. All of the SEC venues are hostile(except Auburn)whereas none of CUSA's are except HOuston. We will show up ready to play on the 23rd.

Kind of reminds me of the last time we went to the sweet sixteen from birmingham. tony harris and co. played ugly in the first two rounds and beat uconn to get to the sweet sixteen for the first time in school history. we were there last year and fell just short. this team has been all about history. here's to them making some more history by beating louisville.
