First off a big congrats to Coach Jones and staff for landing a much better recruiting class than what our win/loss record over the few seasons reflects.
Secondly, I truly believe we have the coach that will return Rocky Top to the prominence she is accustomed to. This wont be an instant turn around its gonna take a few years of growing pains, so plzz give this staff a chance to rebuild.
Gotta love and respect Coach Jones' work ethic, and how much he loves his job. Makes me even more proud to be A TENNESSEE VOL!

It seems that Cincy staff did pretty well with the talent pool they had to work with.
I think CBJ hired the best staff that fits his coaching mind set. So in reality this may just be the best staff for him.
Honestly, I get tired of reading posts from pathetic whiney fans who just put the new coaches words under the microscope, in hopes of finding something to criticize him for.
I swear some of those "fans" expected him to say "we are gonna hire the most mediocre staff money can buy"
Personally I'm proud of Coach Jones for hiring who HE feels best fits in his system as opposed to some name that would appease a few griping fair weather fans.

When people quit accusing our AD of being some alabama loyalist who is just out to sabotage not only our University buy himself. There are only 2 things Dave Hart is loyal to, 1 is Dave Hart and 2 is the almighty dollar. Both of which would be directly impacted if he botches this hiring process.
With that being said i no longer think he is trying to make a big splash hire he must be lookin to drain the pool (one way or another)... But seriously I think the hire has been made for some time now, and I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Jim Tressel is our new coach, and all the hush hush is cuz of negotiations with the NCAA over his "show cause" restrictions

I just read wherewhere Mike Gundy was offered the job. Not sure if that is just a ploy to get Ok St to pony up more cash and also fire their AD. It sounds like a case of "its either him or me."

Also, I'm still not a fan of keeping Chaney as the OC, I think we could replace him and be much better off... Keep Coaches Graham, Pittman, and Coiner the rest need to go. For the love of God whoever our new coach may be plzzz hire a good QB coach ,it seems that most on here are very high on former Vol Tee Martin, I'm just not up to speed on his qualifications.

Does anyone know what type of D coach Strong runs?

Las Vegas odds on favorite is between Jim Tressel or Butch Davis, with the latter being the the most favored... Despite past transgressions I think our program would flourish under either of those coaches
