Former Tennessee basketball coach Bruce Pearl has chosen to stay in Knoxville as vice president of marketing for H.T. Hackney Co., a privately held wholesale distribution company in town. Pearl has been friends with the company's chairman and CEO, Bill Sansom, since shortly after moving to Tennessee when Pearl was invited to join the same Bible-study group.
