Bruce Pearl has been penalized by UT for providing misleading information during an NCAA investigation. These are his comments during a press conference addressing the investigation.

Coach Pearl, one mistake does not a man make, what makes the man is his ability to learn from his mistakes be humble and sincere and to go on to the new day.
No one ever sees themselves in situations like this until they are there. what makes the person is how they handle the situation.
You seem sincere, you did take the action first to correct the situation before the investigation.
Walk humbly with your Creator but walk on with him, learning this hard lesson but embracing it as a gift from Yhvh to help you get past this issue He chose to deal with in you. Scripture says Abba just like a good father chastises us as sons whom He loves. You are loved, i respect you and i believe in you. Go forth never forgetting this day but do not be bound by it either.
Thanks for all the good you've done for Tennessee and thanks for your honesty in admitting what you've done wrong.
Now let's go win the SEC EAST And Tourney!
