The skinny: Once considered a top target from the state of Georgia, Bonner saw his stock dip significantly when he and two of his teammates were arrested and charged with taking iPods and iPhones from the lockers of seven Georgia players during a visit last April. He served an eight-game suspension and then made the absolute most out of the final six games of his career, recording 53 tackles, three tackles for loss, five interceptions, four pass breakups and a forced fumble. He’s served his time and conducted plenty of community service. If he’s truly learned from the experience, UT will have made out with quite the coup because it’s clear that he can play.
