No, I think the video of the play shows that Jackson and Teague were signaled to get back out there by the assistant coach right behind Coach Dooley.
Whether they were in the base package or goal line package, I don't know. Based on Dooley's comments in this video, obviously Jackson should NOT have been out there with LSU's three wides, and should have stayed off. But in any case, the CBS feed shows a UT coach signaling players 12 & 13 (Jackson & Teague, last 2 on) back onto the field. Not that complicated.
That coach has not been identified, although it wouldn't be hard for anyone who knows the personnel better than I do - just look at the CBS clip on youtube at about 28 seconds. Nor have Teague or Jackson been asked why they came back on after having been pulled off - someone sent them back on.
All the dancing and generalizing by Dooley is just covering for his guy. What's done is done, but why are paid coaches protected from public criticism and scrutiny, and unpaid young players exposed to the same all the time?
