The skinny: Bullock was content with a future at Navy until the Vols offered. After that, it was a no-brainer for the lifelong UT fan. UT didn’t get what it expected from sophomore Michael Palardy last season, but it’s unlikely Bullock can come right in and take the job from him. A more likely path has Bullock, perhaps, taking a thing or two off Palardy’s plate in 2012. The best opportunity for that is on kickoffs, an area where Palardy has struggled to generate consistent distance. Bullock, who could also make a run at the punting job, participated at the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl in Dallas at the end of last year.
