The skinny: One of the Vols’ earliest commitments, Lewis missed most of his senior season after fracturing the fifth metatarsal in his left foot in his school’s second game. Though he projects as a weakside defensive end, Lewis played a number of snaps at linebacker during his high school career. After a talk with Sunseri, Lewis could be doing just that at UT. In an interview with 247Sports, Lewis said he could get a look at the “jack” linebacker position, the spot occupied by Courtney Upshaw over the past few seasons at Alabama. Because of his size, Lewis called the switch a “match made in heaven.”
