Phillip Fulmer announced Monday at a press conference at Neyland Stadium that he is stepping down as head coach of the Tennessee Vols football team. He read a statement to the media.

Coach Fulmer brought our family many years of joy. I became a Vol fan when he became coach. Wishing him all the best.

Wow. That had to be hard for him to do. But maybe that 5-6 mil. will make him feel a little better. Hopefully This decision was for the best for UT Football and hopefully it wont take 3-5 years for a new coach to establish a winning program. We're not exactly used to losing.
